Post Holidays Randomness

This morning I woke up and thought, "it's already over"? Boo! I LOVE everything about Christmas. I'm feeling a little Christmas withdrawal right now. :( Anyway, here are a few randoms, post holidays:

I've just read that the color of the year for 2011 is honeysuckle. While I love this color, its not exactly the best color for us redheads. But, I could throw on a pair of honeysuckle heels with a pair of jeans and call it good. I've never really followed the color of the year but thought it was kind of interesting. Did you know that turquoise was the color for 2010? Makes sense since it was EVERYWHERE! I love me some turquoise!

I'm completely bored with my cooking. I'm so not a cook. I've said it before but I just don't enjoy hanging out in the kitchen over a pot of boiling water. I wish I liked it but no matter how many times I try, I just can't find that gene in my body! So, I am going to try something new...when planning out my meals on Monday mornings, I'm going to throw in one new dish per week (maybe two if I'm feeling a little crazy)! I have a few new cookbooks (actually not new, they were given to me for my wedding shower over nine years ago) that I haven't really looked through...I'm going to pick out a few that sound good and EASY. Have any recipes that you'd like to share with me? HELP ME, please!!!!! I'm starting this week with a beef stew recipe from my Fix It & Forget It cookbook. Sounds easy enough! Here is a cookbook I'd love to have...and might actually use: Best microwave popcorn: Favorite Scentsy Scent: Love this country song: (it's probably not very new but it's been a while since I've listened to the country radio station) Love cardigans and this is on my wish list. I don't typically shop at JCrew but I love this color: Really love a good pair of patterned tights to dress up an outfit. I bought these while Christmas shopping. Merry Christmas to me!
