Out with the old...

In less than one week, I will be heading to Quilt Market. I cannot even express how excited I am to go to this. I have gone once before. I was in high school. My mom asked me to go with her. At this point in my life, I wasn't huge on that kind of thing...I like what my mom made me from the gorgeous fabrics she found, but didn't want to be spending my Friday and Saturday in a big convention center on the lookout for the stuff! But now, my mom is actually coming with me to shop for MY shop. How cool is that!?!?
Anyway, I need to make room for the new fabric so its OUT WITH THE OLD! I just reduced a ton of fabric in my shop. This sort of saddens me as its beautiful fabric and I know it will go quick but I have to make room for the new lovelies I find next weekend. So, head on over to my Etsy shop and have a look around. There are tons of deals! Happy shopping!

P.S. Here is a sneak peek of a new pattern from Amy Butler that should be in the shop soon. Can I just say...BRING ON THE RAIN!!!!

Del HI!!

So one of my favorite people, the UPS man, came today with a few boxes. Inside were the Valori Wells Del Hi bolts of fabric I ordered! I know they aren't brand new to the world but they are to my little shop! I've seen them before and fell in love. The colors are so rich. They remind me of late summer afternoons turning into evening. They aren't the typical bright cheery summer colors. Don't get me wrong, I love these too but its nice to see something that is a bit more mellow. Here is a sneak peek of the fun fabric, Del Hi. Oh, and I got one home dec in...Pom Pom in Sun. Did I mention...I AM IN LOVE!?!?! Its gorgeous and makes me happy just looking at it. See below!
Just makes me wish summer would hurry up and hit Wisconsin! I've heard it might reach 70 degrees this weekend! HEAT WAVE! Have a lovely weekend! Morgan

Getting ready for summer!!!

Well, we are in the homestretch of the school year. My kids can't wait. I asked what they are most excited for...they said bonfires with marshmallows (or shmarshmallows as my son Logan likes to say). I have to admit, I am super excited for that, too! I love having lazy summer nights in front of a fire, watching my kids run around the yard with their flashlights. By the end of the evening, they are so wiped out, they jump in our laps and snuggle until bedtime. BLISS! So, while I try to get things ready for my kids to be home, I thought I'd share a fun little pattern that Moda Bake Shop is featuring right now. I think these are too cute for summer! Get ready, summer is just around the corner! Morgan

Happy Mother's Day!

Just wanted to recognize my mom today. She is not only a fantastic mom, but an amazing friend. While I was growing up, she was strict but sweet and wise but let me make my own mistakes. She is a christian, daughter, wife, mother, sister, friend, shopper, quilter, chocolate lover, sun lover, just to name a few! So today, I just want to thank her for everything. For teaching me about the Lord, for teaching me how to be a patient and loving wife, for teaching me to raise my babies to love Jesus...for everything! Love you, mom!
And last, here is a pic with me and my babies (and my husband). HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Hope you all enjoy the day!

Fun Giveaway at The CrEaTiVe CraTe

Don't you just love a cute apron? I actually have one but always forget to wear the thing. It is hanging up on my pantry door so I get to look at it everyday but why don't I put it on??? I could say its because I am too busy or just forget but to be honest...I don't want that to get messy! I'd rather let my tshirt get spaghetti sauce on it than my fab apron. I know, wierd! Anyway...right now, The Creative Crate is hosting a giveaway from Flirty Aprons. These aprons are oh-so-cute! Head on over there for a chance to win. Tell her The Scarlet Poppe sent you. Good luck! Fabric Flowers Everywhere!

Have you noticed that fabric flowers are everywhere? I have and quite frankly, I LOVE them. You can do so many things with them... put them on a cardi, make a topiary, throw them on a headband. Also, its a great way to use up some of your fabric scraps that you just can't bear to throw away! Nancy, over at My Blonde Ambition has a great tutorial for making fabric flowers.
Have fun with this and let me know what you make with your flowers!
