Retail Therapy and a Mini Giveaway!

I'm sick today. So is my little Phin. I hate when my babies get sick. Especially when they are so little and can't tell you what hurts or how to help. So, as Phin is sleeping, I'm sitting in front of my fireplace, laptop on my lap, wool socks and favorite old cardi on, doing a little retail therapy. Isn't that what every girl does to make herself feel better? I've been wanting a pair of great boots. Not just any pair. I have winter-y boots. I have stilettos. I have cowboy boots. But I have yet to find a good pair of wear-everywhere-cuz-they-make-you-feel-good-boots. Well, I think I found them! At Target! Which means I didn't have to break the bank! I am IN LOVE. Here they are: Aren't they pretty? Right now, Target is offering a lovely deal on shoes/boots! BOGO! Buy one get one 1/2 off. And free shipping for orders over $50. Booyah! So, had to get these lovelies for my Belle.

She is a total "boot girl"! Love that about her.

Yesterday, I told ya'll that I would be listing accessories in The Scarlet Poppe Boutique. Finally got a few pictures uploaded today and found a few minutes to list them all. What's New!?!?

Okay, so I'm a bad bad blogger. I know this. But I have good excuses! Like school starting. This is huge. This year, I have one in 2nd grade and one in preschool. I'm getting used to being back in a routine. Think its kicking my bum harder than the kids. I miss sleeping in until the babes come in and wake me up with their snuggles. Now, I have to beg and plead for them to wake up and get dressed for school. There may be some bribing going on. Also, my husband has been working from home lately. He's working on starting up a new business out of our home. Its been fun working with him. Helping him get things set up, giving my opinion (not sure if he necessarily likes this as much as I like to give it out), he even lets me use some of his tools. This is huge for a carpenter. Anyway, I'll be announcing his fun new business on my blog within the next week or so and probably doing a fun giveaway. I'm so excited for him! I want one or two of everything! Hint: They look lovely hanging up on a wall and showcasing your fave fall peacoat and hat! Okay, on to The Scarlet Poppe stuff! I have a few new Poppy Tops in my shop right now. Speaking of my son Logan's birthday...here is a pic of his birthday present from me. A CAPE! He thinks he is a super hero right now so I felt he NEEDED a cape. He loves it.

And last but not least, today was Belle's first day of 2nd grade!!! Look how happy (and old) she looks here. She was so excited this morning. Hope that carries on throughout the year! I miss her like crazy right now. My sewing partner and nap time buddy! *tear* Okay, one more...Logan, me and Belle at Logan's party. We had so much fun.
