Heaven!

I stole this from another blog's (thanks c!) playlist. I already had a slight crush on Jason Aldean and who doesn't love Bryan Adams!?!? Anyway, had to share this take on a classic! Enjoy and sweet "heaven"ly dreams!

Ain't Your Momma's Typical looking OVEN MITT...

Ever notice how ugly oven mitts can be? Why do they choose the ugliest patterns possible for them? You have to use them and set them out so why does it seem impossible for mass retailers to fork out some good ones??? If you think the same, then this tutorial is for you. Check out The Idea Room's version of a cute oven mitt. Its super cute and easy.

Click here to check it out. Happy sewing!

Tutorial!

Since I am addicted to blog jumping in search for new ideas, I have decided to feature some of my "finds" on The Scarlet Poppe! As I find them, I'll post them here for ya'll to enjoy. Please let me know what you think, leave a comment, or even email me if you find one that you think I should feature on The Scarlet Poppe. I'm open so let me know! First up: Since I sell Amy Butler fabric in my Etsy Shoppe, I thought I'd start with this. Of course you can use any fabric you want...
Melissa over at The Polka Dot Chair came up with this super easy tutorial for a super cute table runner.
Check it out here! Love this and think I may have found a project for the weekend!

Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was Crazy, with a capital C! My Belle turned 7! Yes, 7! Can't believe it. I will post about this later today...
Right now, I wanted to post these adorable pics that my good friend, Carrie (or C as I refer to her in our emails) sent to me this morning. She had purchased some of my Amy Butler Morning Glory fabric and made these matching outfits for her two cuties, Allie and Jude. She even made herself a matching tunic. Check out these pics:
Thanks so much for sending these to me, C! You did great! Might have to borrow that tunic! :)
So, question: Do any of you make matching outfits for you and your kids? If so, I'd love to see what you have created! Leave me a comment...
More to come later today! Morgan

Ever since my twin nieces came along, I've been wanting to make matching dresses for them and my daughter, Belle. FINALLY, this Easter, I got it together. I didn't have a ton of time, so I went with a classic pillowcase dress. I made them in Amy Butler's Park Fountains fabric. I think they turned out pretty cute. Oh, and I couldn't forget about the boys...matching ties, of course!
Hope everyone had a great Easter!
